metaLinQ is hiring Account Executives

General:

We are looking for an Account Executive with 3-5 years experience in technology or advertising B2B sales to join our sales team. You must have strong time management and closing skills and know how to develop long term prospect and account relationships.

The ideal candidate will have existing contacts with Internet Retailers.

$60,000 - $80,000 base + commissions

metaLinQ is a cutting edge technology company that provides easy to use services to Internet Retailers that increase their per-visitor revenue.  Our clients range from small niche web store operators to multi-national retail chains.  Within the companies, we sell to IT or marketing departments and upper management.  Our Software as a Service products are easy to use, take 15 minutes to install and instantly increase revenue for the retailer.

We are located in Santa Rosa, California in the heart of the Wine Country.  This warm and friendly city is an urban blend of art and culture, food, wine and recreation.  Santa Rosa is the largest city between San Francisco and Portland with excellent infrastructure, schools, climate, beautiful environs and is "designed for living".  Real estate is still a lot less than in Silicon Valley.  Several years ago, Santa Rosa was named the second most dynamic city in the US.

Job Functions:

  • Aggressive, high volume outbound phone-based prospecting and selling
  • Proactive, thorough management of prospect lists and tracking of activity and results
  • Use a consultative approach to present key selling points, along with features and benefits that focus on the customer's specific needs and expectations
  • Deliver product demonstrations and end-user training using web-based meeting software.
  • Manage personal workflow including setting goals, forecasting, scheduling of calls and special projects
  • Maintain long-term relationships with customers after the initial sale
  • US-wide travel to trade shows and seminars (where you would need to make presentations) 2-3 times a year.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record and appetite for phone-based selling of technology products/services.
  • Effective phone presence and professional, confidence-inspiring personality
  • Skilled at reaching decision makers at various levels in companies of all sizes including Fortune 500 and closing new business leads
  • Strong work ethic with a do whatever it takes attitude
  • Ability to motivate others through enthusiasm, passion and empathy in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • CRM experience (preferably Microsoft CRM)
  • PC literate, Internet savvy, strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience selling products and services via usage and subscription purchase methods preferred
  • Understanding of the Internet Retailing industry is preferred.
